Are pets allowed?
Pets are generally welcome by prior arrangement. Please state which animal you are bringing when booking. Additional fees may apply.
Are children allowed?
The accommodations are not suitable for children under 16 years of age.
Is smoking allowed in the apartments?
No. Smoking is prohibited in all apartments.
Is smoking allowed on the balcony?
Please observe the applicable house rules. Cigarettes must not be disposed of inside the apartments.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes. Please be considerate inside the apartments, especially at night between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
Can I bring additional guests?
Only the persons named in the booking may stay overnight in the apartments. Additional visitors or overnight guests must be arranged in advance.
Are bachelor/bachelorette parties allowed?
Parties and bachelor/bachelorette parties are not permitted inside the apartments. A quiet overnight stay as part of a group trip is possible, provided the house rules are followed.
General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
Rock City Apartments
As of August 2026
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all direct bookings of Rock City Apartments accommodation made through our website.
2. Booking and Formation of the Contract
The accommodation contract is concluded when Rock City Apartments confirms the booking.
Guests must provide complete and accurate information when booking.
The accommodation may only be used by the number of persons specified in the booking. Additional overnight guests are only permitted with prior consent.
3. Prices and Payment
The total price displayed during the booking process applies.
The payment terms and available payment methods are displayed during the booking process.
4. Check-in and Check-out
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the following times apply:
Check-in: from 17:00
Check-out: by 12:00
Early check-in or late check-out is only possible by prior arrangement.
As a rule, guests check in independently using the access information provided before arrival.
Access codes, keys and other access information must not be shared with unauthorised third parties.
5. Cancellation and No-show
The cancellation conditions specified for the relevant booking apply.
For non-cancellable or non-refundable rates, there is generally no entitlement to a refund in the event of cancellation, to the extent permitted by law.
In the event of a no-show or early departure, there is generally no entitlement to a refund for unused nights. Statutory rights and the deduction of expenses saved or income from letting the accommodation to another guest remain unaffected.
6. No Right of Withdrawal
Under section 312g(2), point 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for accommodation booked for a specific period.
7. Use of the Apartments and Electricity Consumption
The apartments may only be used for ordinary accommodation purposes.
The electricity included in the accommodation price is intended solely for normal private consumption during a stay.
Unusual or commercial use of the electricity supply is expressly prohibited, including in particular:
operating equipment or high-performance computers for cryptocurrency mining (cryptomining);
operating server farms or comparable computing-intensive hardware;
using large electrical appliances for commercial purposes;
charging electric vehicles from apartment sockets, unless expressly permitted;
any other use that significantly exceeds the electricity consumption expected during an ordinary stay.
In the event of an intentional breach of this prohibition, a contractual penalty of EUR 500.00 per stay is agreed.
Further claims for additional electricity costs, damage to the electrical installation, necessary inspections or other damage remain unaffected. Any contractual penalty paid will be credited against any further claim for damages.
8. Smoking
All apartments are non-smoking accommodation.
Smoking inside the apartments is strictly prohibited. This prohibition includes, in particular, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, cannabis, shishas, e-cigarettes, vapes and comparable smoking or vaping products.
In the event of a breach, liquidated damages of EUR 500.00 will be charged for necessary special cleaning, odour removal and any loss of use.
Guests are expressly entitled to prove that no damage occurred or that the damage was substantially less.
Rock City Apartments reserves the right to prove and claim higher actual damages, particularly where specialist cleaning or ozone treatments are required, furnishings are damaged, fire or heat damage occurs, or the apartment temporarily cannot be let.
If smoking, an open flame or tampering with smoke detectors results in a call-out of the fire brigade, security services or other emergency responders, the person responsible may additionally be charged the actual call-out costs incurred.
9. Pets
Pets are generally permitted unless otherwise specified for the relevant apartment or booking.
A fee of EUR 10.00 per animal per day of the stay will be charged, unless a different arrangement or price has been agreed as part of the booking.
Statutory rights regarding recognised assistance dogs remain unaffected.
Guests are liable in accordance with statutory provisions for damage and excessive soiling caused by their animals.
10. Rock City, Café Nord, Music and Nightlife
Rock City Apartments is intentionally part of a lively environment of music, dining and nightlife.
The building and its immediate surroundings are closely connected with Café Nord and its music, food and drink services, events and nightlife activities.
In particular, music, bass, guests' conversations, people coming and going, and event-related noise may be audible in the apartments, including in the evening and at night.
By booking, guests confirm that they are aware of this distinctive character of Rock City Apartments and that they consciously choose accommodation in this environment.
Rock City Apartments embraces coexistence with Café Nord, its music and the associated rock, metal and alternative subculture. Guests booking a Rock City Apartment consciously choose accommodation in this environment rather than a conventional hotel shielded from nightlife.
The noise described above, which is typical of this location, therefore forms part of the agreed characteristics of the accommodation.
This naturally applies only to the activities described and to the extent that they are legally permissible. Statutory rights in the event of disturbances that differ substantially from those described or were not disclosed remain unaffected.
11. Independent Apartments and Availability
Rock City Apartments consists of independent apartments with self-check-in, rather than a hotel with a permanently staffed reception.
There is therefore no entitlement to round-the-clock availability in person or by telephone.
The operators and staff also have normal rest and sleeping hours. Enquiries and non-urgent issues will be dealt with as quickly as possible at reasonable times.
Guests must therefore, in particular, carefully read the check-in information, access codes and other information sent in advance and keep them available for the duration of their stay.
In the event of an immediate danger to people or the building, the appropriate emergency services must be contacted.
12. Control of the Premises and Conduct towards Rock City Culture
Rock City Apartments exercises its right to control access to and conduct within the rented premises and associated areas within the limits of the law.
A serious breach of these GTC, or conduct that seriously disturbs, insults, threatens or endangers other guests, residents, staff, Café Nord or its guests, may result in immediate termination of the stay and removal from the accommodation, subject to the applicable statutory requirements.
This applies in particular to:
violence, threats or aggressive behaviour;
intentional damage;
serious harassment of other people;
discriminatory, dehumanising or seriously derogatory statements or actions towards staff, guests, artists or other people;
seriously insulting or derogatory behaviour towards the rock, metal and alternative subculture embraced on the premises;
intentional tampering with safety equipment or building facilities;
parties or unauthorised events in the apartment;
or deliberate attempts to disrupt or prevent the lawful music, food and drink services or nightlife activities of Café Nord that were expressly disclosed at the time of booking.
An objective report of a specific disturbance or an actual defect does not, in itself, constitute grounds for removal from the premises.
In the event of a serious breach, or one that makes continuation of the stay unreasonable, a prior warning may be dispensed with to the extent permitted by law.
Further claims for damages remain unaffected.
13. Damage and Excessive Soiling
Guests are liable in accordance with statutory provisions for damage caused intentionally or negligently by themselves or persons they accommodate.
Any damage must be reported to Rock City Apartments without delay.
In the event of excessive soiling that significantly exceeds normal cleaning requirements, the actual additional cleaning costs incurred may be charged.
If a key or other means of access is lost, the actual necessary replacement costs may be charged, together with the cost of replacing locks or locking components where necessary for security reasons.
14. Liability of Rock City Apartments
Rock City Apartments has unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence and for damage arising from loss of life, bodily injury or damage to health, provided the statutory requirements are met.
In the event of a slightly negligent breach of other obligations, Rock City Apartments is liable only if an essential contractual obligation has been breached. In this case, liability is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the damage typically foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded.
In all other respects, liability for property damage and financial loss caused by slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The accommodation provider's strict liability for defects already present when the contract was concluded under section 536a(1), first alternative, of the German Civil Code (BGB) is excluded to the extent permitted by law. This does not apply to damage arising from loss of life, bodily injury or damage to health, or where mandatory statutory liability provisions preclude such exclusion.
The statutory provisions, in particular sections 701 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB), apply to the loss of, damage to or destruction of property brought in by guests, insofar as those provisions are applicable.
Rock City Apartments is not liable for damage or disturbances caused by guests themselves, persons accompanying them or persons to whom they have granted access to the accommodation.
Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain unaffected in all cases.
15. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable data protection provisions.

16. Final Provisions
German law applies.
For consumers, this applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of mandatory statutory consumer protection rights under the law of their country of habitual residence.
If any provision of these GTC is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
